It now serves as a bird watcher’s paradise with footbridges surrounding it, providing stunning vantage points for viewing indigenous birds.

In addition, surf enthusiasts will be delighted to find that the beaches here offer a consistent break, making it a perfect spot for beginner surfers.

The area also boasts a brand new sustainable park, Parque Do Buçaquinho, complete with 20 hectares of ponds, lawns and a maritime pine forest – all of which can be explored via the boardwalks and paths that wind through the beautiful surroundings.

Don’t miss the marvelous ceramic facade of the Igreja Matriz De Santa Marinha De Cortegaça, which is just 5 minutes from the beach.
