LX Factory is a testament to the power of revitalization and the magic that can be created when old meets new. It’s a place where tradition and innovation coexist harmoniously, where the past was successfully reinvented and up-cycled.
LX Factory invites you to join in the fun and discover Lisbon’s funky alternative vibe. Read on for more on how to get to LX Factory, opening times, where to shop and where to eat, as well as where to stay nearby.
What is LX Factory: A Creative Oasis in Lisbon
Nestled alongside the Tagus River, Lisbon’s LX Factory is a testament to the city’s ability to blend history with contemporary creativity. What was once an industrial complex in the late 1800s, has blossomed into a vibrant hub that seamlessly merges art, culture, and commerce.
The two-story structure has got crazy bohemian charm, and is one of my favorite places to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon between shops, the fair, and a few drinks with a live band.
How to Get to LX Factory
LX Factory isn’t that difficult to get to by public transport since it’s right off the suburban train to Cascais which connects with the metro at Cais do Sodre.
Alternatively you can take the 760 bus from Praca da Figueira, or an Uber for about 4 -5€. You can also get a scooter or e-bike from Cais do Sodre, or even Praca do Comercio and ride along the water for 15 minutes.
You could also walk from the Time Out Market, this is a great addition to an afternoon walking tour of downtown Lisbon. From Cais do Sodre its about a 30 minute walk.
Once you arrive, you’ll see the iconic red brick buildings and have to go around to the entrance gate at the front.
